Skincare Favorites

Skincare. There are sooooooo many different skincare products on the market! Seriously, so many options. And everyone is so different with not only different skin types but different chemistry and DNA so what works for one person won’t necessarily work for another.

K all that to say — you have to play around and experiment to find what works best for you. And sometimes your skin’s needs will change as the seasons change. BUT! here is a rough outline of what works for me right now with diff options for you! I like to rotate my skincare but these are my favorites.

CLEANSER

By far my favorite cleanser the last few years has been the Bellame Hydrating Cleanser. It feels amazing on my skin. I like that I can apply it to dry skin and massage it in — my makeup melts right off. And then I gently wipe it off with a warm wet washcloth.

I also like the Algenist gentle rejuvenating cleanser. I like the way it feels, it doesn’t strip my skin and it’s very affordable.

Micellar water is highly underrated! Don’t sleep on this!! Lately, I’ve been using this after double cleansing to make sure I get eevery last trace of makeup off. It’s especially helpful around the hairline and on my eyes. It’s gentle, too. So it’s great for sensitive skin. PLUS it’s great for cleaning up your eyeliner!

TONER

There’s really only one toner I’ve ever loved and it’s the REN Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic. It’s a generous size, is gentle yet effective and I noticed it helped with my milia (little bumps) and it decreases the appearance of my pores. It’s a winner, that’s for sure!

SERUM

I really love the Bellame Hydrating Serum. It helped brighten my complexion and personally, it really helped keep breakouts at bay. It has a potent and effective form of vitamin c, so it’s great for brightening your complexion and is great for applying in the am to fight free radicals.

Another vitamin c serum I’ve really liked is the Kiehl’s clearly corrective dark spot solution. It seems very similar to the Bellame one and both of them definitely helped brighten my complexion!

I was shocked but this Ordinary “buffet” + copper peptides serum has become a STAPLE in my skincare routine! It makes my skin feel so plum and supple. I love it! And it’s so affordable. I love when I discover something I TRULY love and it’s so affordable (because let’s be honest — I have expensive taste lol).

Honnorable mention: Merit Great Skin Instant Glow Serum. You guys. I am legitimately shocked at how much I love this! I don’t know why but I’m still surprised when I try something new and love it. Not sure why that is, but maybe because I try so many different skincare and makeup products so when something stands out, it’s exciting!

EYE CREAM

Out of all the eye creams I have tried, I still reach for the Bellame Hydrating eye cream the most! I think I even like it more than the Neocutis Lumiere firm riche eye cream! I just prefer the way it feels on my skin, but I’d say they probably are about the same as far as effectiveness goes. I just found the Bellame one first. To me, the Neocutis feels thicker. I prefer the way the Bellame one glides on my skin.

Elaluz beauty oil is another thing I love to use to prep the eye area. If I use this, I will typically forgo the eye cream. It’s an awesome way to prep your skin and get that moisturized, plump, flawless base for makeup.

MOISTURIZER

Rhode Barrier Restore Cream has been a very nice, lightweight yet effective base for makeup. I like to apply it in the mornings. Makeup by KelliAnne put me onto this, but mix a couple drops of the Elaluz oil in with it and it feels like velvet! So so good. Plus it’s fragrance free so for all my sensitive skin girlies, you will love!

Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream is ELITE! I love using this to prep my skin for makeup. It’s luxe and rich but not too heavy. It just plumps your skin and leaves it feeling plump, supple, and hydrated. Use morning or night. Definitely my favorite moisturizer!

MASKS

The Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask is an experience! I love using it to prep my skin before an event or before doing full glam. It just gives your skin a little oomph and definitely brightens! Follow with the Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream for the ultimate experience.

Another mask I like to use a few times a week is the REN Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask. It brightens and plumps! I love the way it feels. The consistency is amazing — feels almost like jelly when you apply it. And the awesome thing is it’s a quick mask. Rinse it off after just 10 minutes! Follow it up with the REN Overnight Recovery Balm for next level hydration. Your skin will feel like a baby’s bottom when you wake up. This duo is definitely what you want if you like glazed donut vibes!!

For a more purifying mask, I really enjoy using the Bellame Brazilian Pink Clay mask. If I’m having a breakout, I reach for this one as the Bentonite clay draws out excess oil and impurities and the green tea extract unclogs pores and combats acne. And yet! It doesn’t dry out my skin, so that’s a plus.

LIPS

Laneige lip sleeping mask is literally the only thing I apply to my lips at the end of my skincare routine! Been an OG for awhile and it isn’t going anywhere! This little pot of gold is….gold!

I hope this was helpful! I try a lot of skincare but these are the products I keep coming back to and repurchasing.
