Bulletproof Coffee 

So I’m no barista, by any means, but this turned out pretty well! I had heard of bulletproof coffee awhile ago, but just never tried it. I realized this morning that I had the ingredients and went for it!

Here’s what you need:

  • Coffee, about 8 oz
  • Butter (unsalted), about 1 tablespoon*
  • Coconut milk, about 2 tablespoons*

Blend for about 30 seconds. Pour into your favorite mug & enjoy!!

* I suggest you use Kerrygold pastured butter & organic whole coconut milk. When it comes to fats, you want whole fat and you want it to be good quality. The whole idea that fat makes you fat is ridiculous. I don’t have the time or the expertise to explain it in detail here, but read It Starts With Food. It’s an easy read and the authors have done the homework for you; the science is there to back it up, they just made it super simple & easy to understand.


I kinda liked changing up my morning coffee! The foam was fun & it kinda made me feel like I had a latte. We’re super fancy over here 😉

As I’m still breastfeeding, I’m always looking for ways I can incorporate healthy fats into my diet. And a plus to this coffee is that it’s supposed to help with mental clarity and prevent the typical crash after drinking caffeine. You can read more about it here, from the creator himself.
